Tonight is the 70th anniversary of the bombing at Wilkinson’s Lemonade Factory. Let’s spend a few moments remembering those who lost their lives, those who survived and those who risked their lives to bring people to safety. RIP.

I am a volunteer at North Shields East End Youth and Community Centre formerly known as North Shields East End Youth Club. RIP to all those who lost their life on this dreadful night and my wishes go out to any survivors or relatives of those who were lost. This community centre is built on the site where the Factory used to be. We are hoping anyone with more information could get in contact, we have information on our walls to remember those who lost their lives and we are also after a photograph of the factory before it was bombed so people have an idea what it looked like before. We are open regularly and we do a book sale through the day so if anyone has more information or a photograph of the factory before this dreadful thing happened could please get in touch or email me the photo.
RIP FROM MYSELF AND OUR CLUB LEADER!
