We have been approached by the BBC who are proposing to do a short documentary about Wilkinson’s as part of a wider series entitled How We Won The War.
The idea of the programme is to look at the real stories of the ordinary people of the UK – the men women and children whose remarkable effort and determination helped win World War II.
The BBC are keen to speak with any survivor or eye-witness of the disaster.
In the 10 years or so since the creation of this website we are aware that many of our original correspondents have passed on.
