1969. An alert policeman, Jim Kearney rescued a folder of images he had been instructed to take to the tip. Inside was a rare and important collection of images showing the damage to property, business and infrastructure suffered in Tynemouth Borough during the war. Presumably taken for war damage insurance claims, some of these photos have been seen before, some perhaps never.
